I’m convinced that progress doesn’t happen. I’ve been hearing about Maglev trains since the late 80s, and yet they’re still coming “real soon now” to the US. China has one, and they’re building another one. I guess if we didn’t buy Iraq (having broken it) we would have the money for things like that.
