This morning I cut my left hand pretty deeply cutting a bagel. Hopefully I won’t need stitches. Alcohol to the rescue to disinfect. Need one of those bagel biters.

I had chicken for the first time in two months yesterday. It is not an experience I wish to repeat. It tastes totally greasy to me now. I thought I might need some protein and animal protein is easiest to get, and less boring than beans.

I had a head cold all weekend. I was off Friday because of it. It hit me hard for two days, and Sunday was marginally better. So I watched the first season of Deep Space 9, and played some WoW, leveling my shaman. I left my guild because someone told me to watch my language. I don’t need a nanny. I got my Shaman from level 53 to level 56. I hit 54 Friday, got near 55 Saturday and dinged 55 and 56 both on Sunday. I only played level 55 for about 5 hours before leveling, thanks to quests. I hit Sunken Temple as part of a pick-up group and we did rather well, with the exception of Shade of Eranikus, who we couldn’t down. Sorry, I only have 5 points in restoration.

I’m looking at pickup up Tabula Rasa next month, even though that means installing Vista on my Mac. I know people are saying it doesn’t look good or play well, but I’ve enjoyed Richard Garriot’s work in the past. TR isn’t as massive as WoW, but I’m getting sorta bored with the whole WoW thing anyway, so maybe that’s what I need at the moment.

I still haven’t finished Bioshock yet. I’ve been meaning to, but I kinda burnt myself out by playing too much WoW. People really do play that game to the detriment of everything else in their gaming universe. I’ll get back to it this week somewhere in-between Schindler’s List, The World’s Fastest Indian, and So Goes the Nation.

Strange things are still afoot at the workplace. We’ve announced some partnerships, sold some parts of our business, but I don’t see us focusing on the things we really need to do, like get customers on two versions of our products at most. We have about 6 major versions of our primary product in the field. This is not good for anyone, since we have to keep updating this outdated (by about 5-6 years) software while adding features to our newer releases. Like I said, not good.
