I’m beginning a great unemotional purge. I have already dropped quite a few cubic feet of trash out to the dumpster. I’ve gotten rid of pretty much anything with a serial/parallel/ps2 port. I’m half way through the tech. I have a few leads on the sale of my G5 tower, but nothing certain yet. Two people local are interested. I’ll take whichever I can negotiate with first.
I noticed that in the upstairs closet, the biggest burdens to it are the large empty cardboard boxes and my CD crates. I have an idea for the cardboard (hasta la vista) but the CDs are another matter. I think I could go for a good CD archive system so long as it takes the booklets without diminishing in capacity. I could take the shells to the recycling after that.
I’ve also got an 800×600 projector, apple ‘ufo’ wireless hub, broken iPod (20GB, gen 4) and some miscellaneous electronics. I’ve also got some useless things like an optical/component video switcher and a vga/component converter card (pci, no less).
Maybe I’ll put the projector together with my mac mini and try to create some sort of odd wall scene or something. It’s low res enough, right?
